ztdp is back with symbiosis

ZTDP is back on stage after two and a half years - an imperious hiatus that followed the withdrawal of Akbank's sponsorship, which had lasted from 2003 up until the June of 2011.

Zeynep Tanbay has reassembled the company for the commission she received from the Beethoven Festival, launched this year by Borusan Culture and Arts.

Borusan Culture and Arts dedicates the first of its biennial thematic festivals to the genius composer Ludwig van Beethoven. The Beethoven Festival, to be held on 18-21 December 2013, will host such stellar soloists as Christian Tetzlaff, Alexei Volodin, Ruth Ziesak as well as the renowned Salzburg Bach Choir, accompanied by the Borusan İstanbul Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Sascha Goetzel in the masterpieces of the composer.

"Borusan Culture and Arts' commission to dancer - choreographer Zeynep Tanbay , a most original figure in Turkey's modern dance scene, has broken new ground yet again. The Beethoven Festival takes on a totally new dimension with the world premiere of Zeynep Tanbay’s new dance project. Tanbay has choreographed symbiosis to her selection of composer’s great String Quartets. The music will be performed on 20th of December 2013 by the Borusan Quartet, who has dedicated their season to the genius’s works.”
